Installation
How Yarbo Robotic Lawnmowers Are Installed
Unlike traditional robotic mowers that require boundary wires, Yarbo uses a wire-free, GPS-based system, making installation straightforward. Here’s how the process works:
1. Setup & Mapping
- Unbox and Charge – Place Yarbo on the charging dock and ensure it has a full charge before setup.
- Connect to the App – Download the Yarbo mobile app and follow the step-by-step guide to connect the mower to Wi-Fi or a cellular network.
- GPS Calibration – Yarbo uses RTK-GPS technology to establish accurate positioning. This requires setting up a GPS base station in your yard for high-precision navigation.
2. Defining Mowing Boundaries
- Virtual Boundary Setup – Unlike traditional mowers that rely on physical boundary wires, Yarbo allows you to create virtual mowing zones through the app.
- No-Go Zones – Designate areas where the mower should avoid, such as flower beds, playgrounds, or pathways.
- Multi-Zone Mowing – If you have separate lawn areas, you can set up multiple mowing zones, and Yarbo will navigate between them efficiently.
3. First Test Run & Adjustments
- Initial Test Mow – Once boundaries are set, Yarbo will run a test mow to ensure correct navigation and coverage.
- Adjust Cutting Height – Customize the cutting height to suit your lawn’s needs.
- Fine-Tuning – If needed, you can adjust the boundaries, schedule, or mowing pattern directly in the app.
4. Automatic Operation & Maintenance
- Scheduling – Set up automated mowing schedules based on your lawn's growth rate.
- Obstacle Detection – Yarbo uses advanced sensors to detect and avoid obstacles in real time.
- Weather Adaptation – The mower will adjust its schedule based on weather conditions, avoiding heavy rain or extreme temperatures.
Installation Summary
The Yarbo robotic lawnmower eliminates the need for complex wiring and manual setup, allowing for quick installation through app-based boundary mapping and GPS calibration. Once set up, it operates autonomously, ensuring a well-maintained lawn with minimal intervention.
